Willie ''Bill'' Fred Meeler, Sr., 95, of Hartman, Arkansas passed away on November 7, 2025 in Clarksville. He was born on May 26, 1930 in Gillsville, Georgia to the late Plummer and Cleo (Bell) Meeler.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving actively during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He faithfully and proudly served his country for thirty-two years, at which time he retired from active Military Service. After retiring from the Army, Bill attended vocational school and became licensed as an HVAC Technician and an electrician. He was a self-employed business owner in his trade for twenty-two years. Bill was also a member of the VFW and served as its Commander for many years. He also had many hobbies and things he enjoyed doing in his spare time, like hunting, running dogs and being in the outdoors. Bill also loved horse racing and was skilled in throwing horseshoes and playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over thirty years, Patricia Ann Meeler; two sisters, Gladyse Stover and Sim Meeler and three brothers, Ralph Meeler, Bobby Meeler and Sammie Meeler.
Bill is survived by his son, Willie Fred Meeler, Jr. and wife, Krista of Hartman; three daughters, Tammy Meeler Bohannon of Coal Hill, Tonya Hanson of Hartman and Jacqueline McCormick King and husband, Tim of Altus, Arkansas; one step daughter, Kim Hayes; one sister, Doris Morris of Georgia and one brother, Tommy Meeler, as well as fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and his friends and fellow members of the VFW.
The United States Army will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dee Yates, David Tedford, James Jones, Logan Meeler, Randal Bohanna, Mark Hayes, Rayvaughn Meeler, Jackson Pyron and Alan Ray Pyron.
Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Coal Hill Cemetery in Coal Hill, Arkansas. Visitation will be held at the cemetery, prior to the Graveside Service, at 11:00 a.m. Full Military Honors will be rendered at the cemetery by the United States Army.
