Ivone Foushee Thorne, 93, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at Wood Lawn Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

She was born December 21, 1931 to Fount "Buster" and Ola Bullard Foushee.

She graduated from Desha High School in 1950 where she served as senior beauty, yearbook staff, librarian, basketball, and 4-H Club. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Dale Thorne. After a short period when Bobby was serving in the US Army, they returned home to Batesville where they raised their three children. Ivone worked in childcare and as a cook in the Batesville School District. She was an avid member of Calvary Baptist Church for 65 years, serving on the Social, Childcare, and Vacation Bible School committees.

Survivors include one son, Larry Thorne (Judy) of Desha; one daughter, Cheryl Thorne of Cave City; two grandsons, Eric Thorne of Locust Grove, Bradley Thorne (Candice) of Cave City; seven great-granddaughters, Shaleah Engles (Logan) of Mount Pleasant, Sidney Price (Chris) of Evening Shade, Keely Thorne (Peyton) of Batesville, Camryn Thorne of Locust Grove, Georgie Thorne, Hazel Thorne, and Emmie Thorne all of Cave City; two great-great-granddaughters, Adalei Brown of Mount Pleasant, Evelyn Engles of Mount Pleasant; two great-great-grandsons, Rion Engles of Mount Pleasant, Elijah Price of Evening Shade; brother, Fount "Junior" Foushee (Wanda) of Raymore, Missouri, and sisters, Bernice Davis and Margie Pool (Glendon) both of Batesville, and Dorothy Mills of Santa Maria, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Bobby Dale Thorne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert Ivan and Ester Presley Thorne; son, Michael Thorne; brothers, Johnny Foushee and Charles Alvin Foushee, and sister, Ollie Mae Ellison.

Pallbearers are Tommy Baker, Logan Engles, Chris Price, Rick Pool, Peyton Smith, and Tim Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Thorne and Bradley Thorne.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held just one hour prior to the service.
