Dewey Glenford Williams, 81, of Shirley, Arkansas, born March 8, 1944, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on October 23, 2025. Dewey, a son, husband, father, and precious Papa made his life as a real-life jack of all trades. He made a hand as a farmer, craftsman, mechanic, and carpenter to name a few. For eight years, Dewey served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.
Dewey is preceded in death by his mother and father, Warren Steve and Geneva Doyal Williams of Pee Dee and sister, Gena Williams of PeeDee.
Dewey is survived by his wife of 58 years, Debra Williams, daughter, Tammy Williams Loeschner of Shirley, son, Brent Williams (Angie) of Shirley, and daughter, Kimberly Williams Habelitz of Shirley. Also among his family are five grandchildren, Sara Chisler (Nick) of Jacksonville, Peyton Loeschner of Shirley, Josie Fuller (Michael) of Plummerville, Chase Habelitz, and Gunnar Williams of Shirley. Dewey's most prized possessions were his great grandchildren, Adali and Emory Chisler and Londyn Fuller. He is survived by his siblings, Tommy Williams (Judy) of Austin, Mena Rushing (Mike) of Heber Springs, and Sid Williams (Debbie) of Clinton. Dewey is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Casey Williams, Shay Williams, Colby Williams, Travas Rushing, Kyle Foster, and Hugh Scott Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Lee Younger, Josh Baker, Chris Rushing, and Brian Beck.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and staff who took such good care of Dewey during his stay at Ozark Health Nursing Home as well as all the friends and family who have called and visited through this time.
A small, private family visitation will be held Sunday October 26,2025 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. The funeral, a graveside service, will be held at Pee Dee cemetery on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm. All family and friends are welcome. Following the service, there will be a meal prepared by the ladies of Full Gospel Tabernacle and served at the Shirley Community Center for friends and family.
