Ronald P. Kincadeof Mountain Home, AR
August 19, 1947 - October 23, 2025
Ronald ''Ron'' P. Kincade of Mountain Home passed away Thursday, October 23 at the age of 78. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home.
Ron was born on August 19, 1947, in Trumann, Arkansas, to the late William and Sue (Casiday) Kincade. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lea Kincade, of the home; two sons, Jeff (Theresa) and Jason (Lindsay); five grandchildren, Kolt (Abby), Alexis, Bryce, Anistyn, and Abigail; one nephew, Shannon (Tina); and one great-niece, Ashton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Ron practiced law for more than five decades, serving the Twin Lakes area with distinction both in private practice and public service. A general practice attorney with Kincade Law Office at 701 South Church Street in Mountain Home, Ron was known for his fairness, professionalism, and deep commitment to justice.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University in 1970 and went on to graduate from UALR School of Law before moving to Mountain Home in 1975. Ron began his career with the Arkansas Department of Correction in 1970, later opening his own practice and serving as a juvenile referee. He then became a deputy prosecuting attorney in the mid-1980s. He was first elected Prosecuting Attorney for the 14th Judicial District in 2002, serving Baxter, Marion, Boone, and Newton counties until his retirement in 2014.
Throughout his long and respected career, Ron emphasized compassion and understanding within the justice system. He believed that not every offender needed to go to prison, and he often reminded young prosecutors to recognize the difference between bad people and people caught in bad circumstances. His wisdom, fairness, and humanity left a lasting mark on the courts and the community he served.
In August of this year, the City of Gassville honored Ron upon his retirement as city attorney, presenting him with the key to the city in recognition of nearly 50 years of dedicated public service.
Ron Kincade's legacy of integrity, compassion, and commitment to justice will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, Monday, October 27 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 28 at 11:00 am with Pastor Tad Rogers officiating, a private burial to follow.
