Glen Charles Peake

of Hot Springs, AR

November 9, 1936 - October 16, 2025

Glen Charles Peake, 88, of Hot Springs passed away on October 16, 2025 surrounded by his family. We find peace knowing he was greeted by his loving wife and daughter in Heaven. He was born November 9, 1936 in Guttenberg, Iowa to the late Nettie (Erickson) and Earl Peake.

Glen had deep roots in Hot Springs, being that he moved at the age of 16 with his family from Postville, Iowa in 1955. He graduated from Hot Springs High School that same year. Glen, alongside his Dad and Brother, owned and operated the Oaklawn Redbird Service Station. Glen would start Peake's Laundromat in 1961, the same year he married the love of his life, Judy Peake. In 1963, Glen and Judy started Peake's Parking Lot at their home across from Oaklawn Racing. He was a staple at the Parking lot for over seven decades up until his passing, where he enjoyed greeting his regulars, many who had become life-long friends. Glen never met a stranger and could not go anywhere in town without someone he knew stopping him to say hello. He will be remembered for his generosity and kindness to all; truly a selfless man. Glen's family was his life, and no matter the circumstances, he was their rock- always providing, always steady. He was one of the hardest workers you could ever meet, and he instilled in his children and grandchildren the importance of a strong work ethic and integrity.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Unamae ''Judy'' Peake; daughter, Vallie Jo Peake Wilkerson; his parents; brother, Robert Lee Peake and sister, Nora Martin.

Glen is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Bob) Pymn, Glenda (Brady) Covey, Kristi (Michael) Blades, Courtney Peake; grandchildren, Nick (Morgan) Wilkerson, Jessica (Tucker) Moix, Joshua Glen (Maria) Wilkerson, Matthew Galloway, Kaylin (Andrew) Rochier, Meghan Galloway, Alina Rudakova, Michael Blades, Ben Herrera, McKenna Pymn, Aydan Blades, Violet Tosh, Lauren Pymn, Sawyer Tosh; great-grandchildren, Blakely and Tatum Moix, Timber and Ridge Wilkerson and Tammy Lynn Rochier; his honorary children, Marika Pickens Neeve, Dwayne Harper and Jessie Harper; his two loyal fur babies, Rowdy and Joy and many more nieces, nephews, family and wonderful friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held at First Baptist Church on Central Ave. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Private Burial following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of Dog and Cat food be dropped off at his home to be donated to the local animal shelter and the Humane Society.
