Gaylon Elmo Sanders, 65, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2025. He was born in Monette, Arkansas, on March 22, 1960, to Alvin Lee Sanders and Loretha Fay (Luke) Sanders.
Gaylon was an entrepreneur who was self-employed throughout his working life, and also helped with the family business. He had a deep passion for the outdoors and motorsports. He cherished time spent camping, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and the adrenaline of drag racing. A special joy of his was helping his brother, Brad, with the race car. He was a man with a giving spirit and will be remembered for the loving energy he brought to his family.
He grew up in the West Plains area and was of the Pentecostal faith. Gaylon had been a resident of Yellville for the past few years, moving there from West Plains, Missouri.
Gaylon is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Sanders; his parents, Alvin "Pete" Sanders and Loretha "Fae" Sanders; his children, Ramic "Lee", Brooke, Samantha, and Minta; his brothers, Brad Sanders and Greg Sanders; and his sister, Donnetta Sanders. He also leaves behind several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jocelyn.
