of Mountain Home, AR
September 11, 1938 - October 18, 2025
James Herold Moore was born on September 11, 1938, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Rhoda Mae (Clark) and Millard Henry Moore.
In 1969, James married the love of his life, Bonita Raye West. Together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and love! In 1972, they moved to Mountain Home, where James became the proud owner of Ozark Roofing Company.
After accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, James's life was transformed. Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he founded the local chapter of Full Gospel Business Men's International, where he served faithfully as President. His passion for ministry continued as he went on to establish Seed Ministries and later served as Pastor of Three Brothers Community Church, as well as being the Administrator of Promise Land Academy.
James's heart was always to share the Word of God. Even after his years of pastoring, he continued to teach Bible studies and encourage others in their faith. In his later years, he embraced technology as a way to reach others, sharing messages and ''mini-sermons'' through his Ministry Realities pages on YouTube and Facebook. His love for Scripture and desire to minister to others kept his spirit active and his mind sharp until the very end.
To his loved ones, James was affectionately known as Dad, Daddy, Pops, PaPaw, Uncle, Pastor, and Brother. He deeply loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and prayed faithfully for each one every morning. His words of encouragement and wisdom touched the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonita; his brothers Joe Moore, Doug Moore, Lonnie Moore, and Jimmy Sullins; his nephews Darren Moore, Dougie Moore and Shane Sullins; and two great-grandchildren.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by his sister, Connie; his children, Ranee (Victor) Beck, Rhonda (Tommy) Griep, and James David (Tera) Moore; and his cherished grandchildren, Andrew (Naomi) Johnston, Ashley (Dustin) Bentley, Austin (Olivia) Greer, Conner Moore, Creighton Moore, Cole Moore, and Trey Beck. He also leaves behind six beloved great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever carry his love, prayers, and wisdom in their hearts.
A celebration of James's life will be held on Friday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Pastor Greg Ford officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, whose compassionate care brought great comfort to James and his loved ones.
