of Harrison, AR
April 23, 1945 - October 3, 2025
Carole Jeanne Bothell, a cherished aunt, sister-in-law, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 80. A resident of Harrison for nearly 20 years, Carole brought warmth and creativity to the Ozarks after moving from Southern California, where she was raised. Her life journey also included memorable periods living in San Bernardino, Arizona, and Delaware.
Born on April 23, 1945, Carole was the loving daughter of Pearl Paige. After graduating from high school in California, she dedicated herself to being a thoughtful homemaker and was known in the professional world as a friendly face, working as a cashier at various casinos in Arizona and at Dover Downs in Dover, Delaware.
Carole had a talent for keeping her hands busy and a passion for artistic detail. She found great joy in crafting and creating intricate paint-by-number masterpieces. A true reflection of her spirit, she poured her heart into her creations. In earlier, treasured times, she loved nothing more than sharing peaceful days fishing with her beloved husband.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, Richard Allen Bothell, and her mother, Pearl Paige.
Carole's memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind: her devoted nephew, Jeff (Melanie) Bothell of Yellville, Arkansas; her sister-in-law, Patricia Bothell; and the many special friends whose lives she touched with her gentle kindness.
A private burial will be held at Georges Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a memorial donation in Carole's name to Legacy Hospice in Harrison, whose team provided exceptional care and comfort.
Services are under the compassionate care of Roller Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
