of West Memphis, AR
June 14, 1958 - October 2, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sherron Elizabeth Gann Smith, lovingly known as ''Sherry,'' to friends and family and ''Nana'' to her grandchildren who departed this life on October 2, 2025, at the age of 67. Sherry was born on June 14, 1958, in Memphis, Tennessee to James H. and Betty Watson Gann.
Sherry was preceded in death by her devoted parents, James and Betty, and her beloved big brother, William ''Bill'' Gann. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Sherry is survived by her only child, Brandy Smith Mask, and son-in-law, Kody. The joy of her life came in the form of her grandson, Kaleb Solano, and her two granddaughters, Kesleigh and Kylar Musselwhite. She took immense pride in being a grandmother, devoting herself to creating memorable experiences, and nurturing their dreams.
In addition to her immediate family, Sherry is remembered by her sister-in-law, Pat Gann of Pine Bluff, and her extended family, including nephews Chris Gann (Carrie) from Florida, Stephen Pierce (Crystal) from Georgia, and her nieces Meredith Gann of Bryant, AR and Ashley Gann Barnes (Michael) from Batesville. Sherry is also remembered by her aunt, Sue Sneed (Froyd) of Bald Knob, her lifelong best friend, Virginia Beasley (Ronnie) of West Memphis, and a host of great-nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.
For over 20 years, Sherry worked as a bookkeeper in the bail bonding industry where she gained long lasting friendships and many cherished memories. After a fulfilling career, she retired in 2023 where she was able to spend more time with her grandchildren and her dog, Tater.
Sherry had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. She found joy in thrifting, hunting for antiques, and feeling the warm sand beneath her toes at Panama City Beach, Florida. These simple pleasures brought her immense happiness and allowed her to create lasting memories with loved ones.
A memorial to honor her will be shared at a later date, providing family and friends the opportunity to celebrate Sherry's life, share stories, and reflect on the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
Sherry's legacy is one of love, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that inspired everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing she was cherished and loved beyond measure.
