Nancy Lorene Allison, 92, of Conway, passed away September 29, 2025. Born June 10, 1933, in Brookfield, Illinois, Nancy graduated from Lyons Township High School and worked at a local theater before marrying Lyle Allison in September 1952.

She raised two daughters, held several jobs which included working at the Emergency Room Admissions Desk at LaGrange Memorial Hospital, followed by work as a transcriptionist in the Hospitals Pathology Department.

Retiring with Lyle to Conway, Arkansas, in 1993, Nancy proceeded to work for the community in several capacities. She was a Board member and later President of Arkansas Advocates for Nursing Home Residents for many years, traveling around the state as well as to Washington D.C. Nancy also served on the Auxiliary Board for the Conway Regional Health & Fitness Center highlighting the needs of older members. In addition, she volunteered at the Arkansas PBS Foundation.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth (Stanyo) Skowbo, and her husband, Lyle Allison. She is survived by her two brothers, Don Skowbo (Mary) and Jim Skowbo (Lynn); two daughters, Conni Ainslie-Kolo (Jim) and Karen Allison Cooper; two grandchildren, Joshua Ainslie (Stephanie) and Jack Cooper (Amanda Daniels); plus, two great-grandchildren, Laceigh and Brody Ainslie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home from 1-3pm. A private inurnment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
