Mary Jeanette Powell Morrison (100) of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James R. Morrison of Little Rock; her son, James (Jim) Morrison of Dallas, Texas; her parents, Alphia Estelle Powell and Wiley John Powell of Hamburg and her sister, Devedia Powell Scott along with her husband, William Scott of Fort Smith.

Jeanette is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Knox (and Richard) of Little Rock and Jan Ferguson (and Mark) of Austin, Texas who will carry her love with them always.

Among her greatest joys were her three grandsons, Brian (and Courtney) of Austin, Texas; Brent (and Juliette) of Georgetown, Texas and Blake Ferguson (and Lauren) of Leander, Texas. In her later years, her greatest wish was for great-grandchildren and she was blessed with seven: Noah, James, Jonah, Oliver, Joshua, Sadie and William. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, whom she thought of as her own.

In July of this year, Jeanette traveled to Austin for her 100th birthday to celebrate with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on October 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Roller Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock.

Memorials may be made to her beloved church, Immanuel Baptist, Little Rock where she was a member for 50 years.

Jeanette loved the Lord and her faith and devotion to her family will be forever cherished.
