Brian Smithof Little Rock, AR
November 2, 1970 - September 29, 2025
Brian Smith, 54, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on September 29, 2025. Brian grew-up in Mountain Home, AR, graduating from high school there in 1988. A kind, funny, generous and devoted person, Brian will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Brian wore many hats and wore them well. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, step-dad and friend. He adored and was so proud of his family and lived each day with what he called ''a servant's heart.'' He was happiest and most fulfilled when supporting and uplifting others.
For over 30 years, Brian worked diligently in the medical field. He served as a Senior Medical Device Sales Representative for several global corporations yet spent much of his time mentoring others. His ability to connect with any person regardless of background was a superpower in and outside of work, and he made friends everywhere he went. Over the course of his career, Brian was consistently ranked in the top sales tier nationally, but what he valued most was the ability to help the patients - people facing their most vulnerable moments.
Brian met the love of his life, Alicia Carter Smith in 2014, and they married on December 20th of that year. This is when he took-on ''the best job ever'' of being a loving husband. Brian was also the step-father to Alicia's daughter, Emily Bennett, and was the most thoughtful, loving husband and step-father anyone could ask for. A life-long dog lover, Brian's furry buddy Baxter was also his ever-present companion.
Outside of work, Brian's gregarious and athletic nature were ever present. A natural athlete, he enjoyed golf, pickleball, sailing, and kickball, both sponsoring and playing on a local kickball team when he was younger. An All-Star pitcher from Little League through high school, Brian enjoyed playing games and sports with family and friends, as well as backyard-coaching his niece and nephews, Chris, Madison and Brandon. Brian's tips were usually useful and always hilarious.
Brian will always be remembered for his generosity, fun-loving nature and kind spirit. A skillful chef, especially on the barbecue, Brian was known for bringing people together - always with laughter.
Brian is survived by his wife, Alicia Smith (Carter) of Little Rock, AR; step-daughter, Emily Bennett of Little Rock, AR; mother and father, Donald Wayne Smith and Alyce Jacquelyn Smith (Wood) of Little Rock AR; sisters, Sandra Lynn Byrd (Smith) of Little Rock, AR and Valerie Anne Smith-Malin (Smith) of Westport, CT.
