Terry Wayne Duffie

Terry Wayne Duffie, age 78, of Maumelle, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Terry was born on July 1, 1947, in Dexter, Missouri. A son of the late Raymond Loy Duffie and Martha Louella McCamish Duffie.
Terry graduated from Bernie, Missouri schools. He enlisted in the United States Navy on June 20, 1966. He was a plank owner of the USS Biddle DLG 34. He was a member of the Order of Magellan having sailed the circumference of the world. The Biddle served several assignments off the coast of North Vietnam. Terry left the Biddle and served his last year boots-on-the-ground outside Danang, RVM. In addition, Terry was a member of the Brady Masonic Lodge #753 past Master, the Scottish Rite Shrine Temple, VFW #95 and past President of the Northeast Arkansas Funeral Director's Club, a member of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Director's Association and a Rotarian.
Terry elected to follow his father's profession in funeral service. He graduated from Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, Missouri, having received his mortuary education and Associate of Applied Science degree. Terry was licensed in three states and retired after 20 years as the Central Regional Manager for Roller Funeral Homes.
Terry was united in marriage on March 8, 1974, to Billie Rae Newell Underwood at the First Baptist Church in Bernie, Missouri. Terry's greatest joy was sharing the love of his wife for over 51 years. His second greatest joy was raising two of the most wonderful sons, Bryan and Brad, a father could ever hope for. Terry's pride in his sons continued in his heart for his whole life. Other than his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy R. Duffie.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Billie; his sons, Bryan K. Duffie and his wife Jeanne, Bradley W. Duffie and his wife, Linda. His grandsons Nathan Duffie and Phillip Duffie and granddaughter Flora Duffie. His love for these grandchildren brought much joy to his heart. Terry is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home with a visitation to follow. Graveside services with military honors will be 12:00pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri. Reverend Don Cooper and Mr. Bill Booker, dear friends of Terry, will officiate the service.
