Marlin Eugene ''Shin/Bo'' Bobo
Marlin Eugene Bobo, 87, of Bono, Arkansas passed away on September 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born October 25, 1937 in the Lorado community, Marlin lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, devotion to family and a lighthearted sense of humor.

Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie V. (Farrar) and Charles Hale ''CH'' Bobo; his brothers, Wilgus, Norris, Alvis, Vondis and Gary Bobo; his sister, Jewel Hunt; his daughter, Sharie Broadaway and his great-granddaughter, Nora Henderson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of more than 70 years, Virginia ''Jenny'' Bobo, whom he married in 1955 in Paragould, Arkansas. Together, they built a life rooted in love and resilience, raising their family through moves to Missouri and then back to Arkansas, where they spent the past 53 years in Bono. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie (Carolyn) Bobo; his son, Marlin Keith Bobo; his son-in-law, Stacy Broadaway; his grandchildren, Ashley (Trace) Henderson, Dalton (Elizabeth) Broadaway and Stason Bobo and his great-grandchildren, Jack and Lincoln Henderson and Lennox and Connor Broadaway.

Marlin's career reflected his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit. He worked at McDonnell Douglas in Missouri and owned a trucking company before returning to Arkansas, where he pursued carpentry work, operated a trophy business for over a decade and worked at W.A. Krueger until his retirement in 1996. Even in retirement, Marlin's work ethic continued as he and Jenny opened the "50's Café" in Bono, a local gathering place filled with warmth and community.

Beyond his work, Marlin was a man of many interests. He was an avid hunter and bowler, spending more than 40 years on the lanes. He cherished time at Lake Norfork with his family and in recent years, found his greatest joy in quiet moments with Jenny and in the laughter of his great-grandchildren. Known by many as ''Shin'' or ''Bo'', Marlin's wit and humor brightened every room and the steadfast love he showed his wife served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

Services will be held at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro at 12 pm Saturday, September 20, 2025, with Matt Hill officiating. A visitation will precede at 11 am. Burial to follow at Trinity Cemetery.

Those to serve as pallbearers are Dalton Broadaway, Trace Henderson, Kenny Broadaway, Roy Coleman, Adam Larson, and Brett Shirley.

Honorary pallbearers are Keith Bobo, Stacy Broadaway, Stason Bobo, Jack Henderson, Lincoln Henderson, and Connor Broadaway

Marlin's life was one of faith, family and joy. His legacy will live on through the stories told, the laughter shared and the love that continues in the hearts of those who knew him.
