In Loving Memory of Ada Jean ''Nanny'' Smith

Ada Jean ''Nanny'' Smith, 87, of Saltillo, Mississippi entered her eternal rest on September 15, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1938 and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don B. Smith.

Ada Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by three of her children, Donnie Smith, Debbie Turner and Pamsie ''Mickey'' Lollar and is survived by her son, Perry Smith. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

A woman of steadfast Christian faith, Ada Jean lived her life with grace, kindness and devotion, faithfully surrendering her will to God. She was loved beyond measure and brought joy and encouragement to all who were blessed to know her.

Known lovingly as ''Nanny'', Ada Jean enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She was fond of collecting dolls, listening to Elvis Presley, crocheting and sharing family meals. In her younger years, she especially loved traveling and RV camping with her loved ones. These joys, big and small, reflected her warmth, humor and deep devotion to family.

Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest beside her husband at Springhill Cemetery, Springhill Presbyterian Church in Saltillo, Mississippi. Services will be held at Springhill on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Public viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

We honor her in death as we did in life, grateful for the love, wisdom and faith she so freely shared.
