Linda "MeMe" Joyce Blansett

On September 11, 2025, Heaven rejoiced and welcomed Linda Joyce ''MeMe' Blansett into the arms of Jesus. Linda ''MeMe'' was born on June 20, 1948 to James Thomas and Eddie May Barnes in Brinkley, AR. She was a member of Corners Chapel Baptist Church of Payneway, AR.

Linda ''MeMe'' is preceded in her homecoming by her parents James and Eddie Barnes, godmother Gracie McClemore, four sisters, and three brother and awaits those to come.

Her husband of 60 years, Caroll Blansett, of Black Oak, AR waits until the Lord calls him home along with their three children Kenny (Mary) Blansett of Black Oak, AR; Kay (Michael) Hydrick of Heth, AR; and Paul (Jennifer) Blansett of Black Oak, AR. Among their children are their grandchildren Trey (Lisa) Hydrick, Danielle Andrews, Paige (Shelton) Tacker, Josh Blansett, Taylor Blansett, Brooklyn (Bradley) Ainsworth, eight great grandchildren, and five sisters Janie McAlister of Crawfordsville, AR, Patsy Simmons of Wynne, AR, Patrica (Bill) Graham of Baldwin, FL, Frankie (Rod) Johnson of Pensacola, FL, Nancy Kay (John) Butler of Heth, AR and a host of nieces and nephews. While there are eight great grandchildren who will miss her dearly, she was met at the gates by five great grandchildren who have longed to see and know her.

Linda's (MeMe's) greatest success in life, besides marrying her best friend, carrying and nurturing her children, spoiling and doting on both grandchildren and great grandchildren, was accepting Jesus and confessing that he is Lord.

While the loss of Linda (MeMe) is great and that chasm of emptiness can never be filled, there is nothing better than knowing that she heard the fateful words, ''Well done, my good and faithful servant.''

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's (MeMe's) memory to Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, AR or to any cancer charity of the donor's choice.
