Michael ''Ga-Ga'' Morgan, age 76, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 9, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, Mike was the son of the late Virginia Pearl and Bobbie Gene Morgan. He graduated from Clarksdale High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and spent his early years working alongside his father and brothers at the family-owned Arkansas Tractor Company, a Case Dealership in West Memphis.
Mike later pursued a career as a Private Investigator as well as Investigator for the Public Defenders office and Bail Bondsman with A-1 Bail Bonds of West Memphis. He also served his community as an Alderman in West Memphis and was a past president of the local Jaycees Chapter. Mike was also a long time member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church of West Memphis and a long time member of Trinity In The Fields Anglican Church of Marion.
Known for his unwavering love for his family, Mike found joy in the simple things relaxing in his recliner, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoying Abe's BBQ in Clarksdale. He was a devoted NASCAR fan, especially of the Earnhardt family. His love for those closest to him was always evident and deeply felt.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara ''Granny'' Morgan; his parents, Bob and Virginia Morgan; and his sister, Patty Bumpous.
He is survived by his children: Michael (Tina) Stephens of Olive Branch, MS; Tonja (David) Reid of Germantown, TN; and Dawn (Dave) Pierce of Marion, AR. He also leaves behind his brothers Bobby Joe Morgan and Don (Connie) Morgan; grandchildren Jessica Stephens, Ryan Stephens, William Reid, Morgan (Caleb) Cornelious, Rachel Stephens, Matthew Reid, and Andrew Reid; and great-grandchildren Collyn Rogers, Cyrus Celej, Banks Cornelious, Margo ''Winnie'' Celej, and Beau Cornelious.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 Pine Street, West Memphis, AR. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Crittenden Memorial Park, 2206 US-Hwy 64, Marion, AR, where ''Big'' Mike will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
