Bessie Wood, 89, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025 in Van Buren. She was born on January 8, 1936 in Scranton, Arkansas to her parents, Herbert Hammack and Anna Mae (Beck) Hudson.

Bessie was a homemaker and was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church of God in Van Buren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Parsons, Norma Nealey and Billie Parks and two brothers, Lloyd Hammack and Samuel Hammack.

She is survived by one daughter, Dixie Boster and husband, Donald of Van Buren; two sons, Wayne Crossno of Van Buren and Herbert Crossno and wife, Kathy Owen of Fort Smith; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Stoney Point Cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
