Pauline Marie Penter, 93, of Florence, Alabama, formally of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the El Reposo Nursing Facility. She was born on March 11, 1932, in Bald Knob to Charles and Della Smith.

Pauline worked for Frolic Footwear for 41 years, but her greatest joy was caring for her family. She was a devoted member of the Nettleton Church of Christ, where she cherished many friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Hubert Smith, and her loving husband, George Searcy Penter.

Those left to honor her memory are her son, Rick (Sharol) Penter; daughter, Debby Hester; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and brother, Tony Smith and sister, Charlene Perez. Each has been blessed to experience the love, strength and wisdom she selflessly shared throughout her 93 years.

Pauline's marriage to her lifelong companion, George, spanned over seven decades and was a true inspiration for everyone. Her legacy of living for Christ and loving her family will be treasured and shared for generations to come.
A graveside service will be Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, with grandson, Austin Penter, officiating.

Pallbearers will be Austin Penter, Camron Penter, Colton Penter, Caleb Danley, Caden Danley, Cohen Danley, Matt Browning, Noah Brown, Alex Brown and Brad Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in their mother's name to Nettleton Church of Christ, 3521 E. Highland Dr, Jonesboro, AR, 72401
