Ben Collinsworth, age 80 of Griffithville, died Friday in Searcy. He was born November 9, 1925 in Griffithville, Arkansas to James Bernice Collinsworth and Mary Zephyr (Holloway) Collinsworth. He was a farmer, a Thirty-second Degree Mason, a Life Member of VFW Post 5025 Des Arc, an avid hunter and fisherman and very interested in politics. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Collinsworth of the home; one son, Jim Collinsworth and wife Deborah of Jackson, Tennessee; two daughters, Mary Ann Ables of Monticello, Mississippi, Cynthia Starkey and husband Donald of Rose Bud; five grandchildren, Chris Collinsworth and wife Kelly of Searcy, Cara Harting and husband Joel of Memphis, Dustin Starkey and wife Brittney of Rose Bud, Desiree Starkey of Rose Bud, Cody Ables of Monticello, Mississippi; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Collinsworth of Searcy, Ty Collinsworth of Searcy, Isaac Harting of Memphis; and one sister, Betty Sue Warren of Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Collinsworth; and one brother, Thomas Wayne Collinsworth. Visitation is Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
