Linda Sue Sterling, 81, of Brockwell, AR, went to her heavenly home on August 17, 2025. She was born June 5, 1944 in Turner, AR, to the late Jasper Koen and Margarie Lucille Longacre Dollahite.

Linda moved with her family to California as a teenager, and it was there that she met and married the first love of her life, Wentford Lamb, in 1965. They moved to Searcy, AR, where Linda attended Harding University before starting a business with Wentford, Searcy Sandblasting. Together they ran the business until his passing in 1994. In 1997 Linda married the second love of her life, Jimmie Sterling. They shared 21 wonderful years together before his passing in 2018.

Linda was a living example of a Godly woman. Her love and kindness were unconditional. She helped the people in her community however she could, regraveling a neighbor's rutted driveway, buying clothes for disadvantaged students, and reroofing houses to name a few. She did these things anonymously, because the feeling of joy and happiness she provided those she helped was the reward. Linda loved to make people happy, and this especially extended to her family. Nanny, as her grandchildren called her, taught all of them to drive on the horse racing track in her backyard. She strived to make life fun and special for everyone she encountered. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husbands, Wentford Lamb and Jimmie Sterling; two children Pam Hyder and Dwayne Lamb; one grandchild, Bucky Carter; and two siblings, Christine Armstrong and Wayne Dollahite.

Left to cherish her memory are one son, Russell Crawford; three daughters, Sharon (John) Walker, Retta Lamb, and Ashley (Jamie) Rowe; five grandchildren, Grant Ellis Crawford, Scott Walker, Brooke Walker (Rusty Beeler), Wesley (Chalese) Walker, and Corey (Alisha) Carter; one great grandchild, Kaleb Armes; sister-in-law Sylvia Casada, with whom she shared a special connection; and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, AR. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Interment will be at Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, AR.
