of Scranton, AR
July 9, 1958 - August 11, 2025
Blaise was born in Covington, Louisiana, the eighth child of nine, to Burlick John and Vita Mae (Cali) Andrepont. The family moved to Scranton, Arkansas when he was 6.
They were looking for a good Catholic Community away from the influences of big city life and found it here, with Burlick eventually establishing a family-run crawfish farm.
Blaise was an active child who especially enjoyed spending time at the creek and playing with his brother, Martin. He was a pitcher in baseball with a strong, accurate arm.
He joined the Army at the age of 17 and served as a 64 Charlie Transportation Specialist in the HHB 5th Division Artillery, stationed at Fort Polk, LA with exercises in Florida and Germany.
He later worked on tugboats for Exxon (his nickname was Little Hercules) and got his tanker man's license. He then went to Westark Community College for an Associates Degree in building trades, which he put to good use with the many structures he built throughout the years. After, he attended Arkansas Tech University for a bachelor's degree in Park Administration. It was here that he met his wife of 41 years, Judy. They moved to Texas where he was Chief Blaise for the Texas Youth Commission Wilderness Camp for boys.
They returned to Scranton in 1985 and built their home on the family farm and through the years, turned a pasture into a beautiful home place. They were foster parents for some time until they got their two sons, David & Anthony, to love and teach and share life with. Notable achievements of the small family included building his sister, Mary's house, constructing a Little League ball field and building a bridge across Cane Creek and a zipline with the help of his brother, Martin. Blaise was always a hard worker and was strong and healthy until a serious back injury slowed him down in 2020. He enjoyed swimming, camping, trot-lining, watching movies and dancing. Notable jobs were on the startup of Stark Manufacturing in Paris and Baldor Electric in Clarksville. He was also an EMT, then found his niche in Maintenance at the University of the Ozarks. Most of his free time was spent at home, working on his farm, at the river or in church at St. Ignatius. He loved Jesus and was an avid Catholic, sharing his faith with those he met and by teaching the youth of the parish. He based his life on the pillars of work and prayer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Timothy and one sister, Martha Hughes.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Lynn (Weindel); son, David and wife, Alexis (Davis) and their three children, Paisley, Hudson and Ellieann; son, Anthony and wife, Madison (Purvis); sister-in-law, Nancy of Beaufort, SC; sister, Monica (Henry) Steele of Van Buren; sister, Angela (Philip) Foster of Fayetteville, GA; sister, Barbara of Ft.
