James Carter Hart, age 73, was born January 1, 1952 in Lexington, TN and passed away July 18, 2025 in Little Rock, AR. James was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Collas Hart and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bess and Lynn Shelton.

James was the first baby born in Henderson County, TN in 1952. James grew up in Reagan, TN working on the family farm. He attended Freed Hardeman University and was a member of PV Church of Christ. In addition to his incredible work Ethics, he enjoyed golf, family travel and Church league softball. James was an avid Razorback fan and was retired from "Car Dealer Parts" in 2017.

James is survived by his loving wife, Danita of 29 years; sisters, Marsha (Eddie) Goff, Judith (Tommy) Willis; children, Alice and Matthew Hart and Samantha (Jason) Ripper; grandchildren, Rhett and Reese Ripper and sister in laws, Carolyn Wright and Sue Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's AR, Honoring a commitment to care, support and education for families affected by all forms of dementia.

A visitation will begin at 1:00pm with a memorial service at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR.
