Arthur ''Art'' Glenn Collins, Jr., 77, of Conway Arkansas was ushered home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2025. He was born to Arthur Glenn Collins, Sr. and Frances Eugenia Bowers Collins on October 19, 1947 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
Art was a faithful follower of Christ, a devoted husband of 47 years to his beloved wife Sheila and a loving father to his three children, Shannon, Blake and Holly. Arthur graduated from the University of South Carolina, with a major in business. His strong work ethic and skills were highlighted throughout his careers at UAMS, Entergy AR/Power & Light and Daniels Construction in materials management. He was passionate about various sports, especially baseball. His deep love for the sport led him to coaching and leading teams to value baseball as he did. Art's desire was to treat others with the love and heart of Christ. He was an early riser, ensuring he read his ''Daily Bread'' and spent time with God praying for others. He was a charter member of Trinity Methodist Church in Lancaster, South Carolina, The Gideons International and a member of Central Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas. His life and legacy were well lived as a spiritual leader of his home and his commitment to following and leading others to the Lord.
Art is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Collins; father, ''Glenn'' Collins; mother, Frances Collins and brother, Tommy Collins.
He is survived by his children, Shannon Collins of Pottsville, Arkansas, Blake Collins of Austin, Texas, Holly Beckwith of Conway, Arkansas and 3 grandchildren, Dawson, Tyler and Isaac Beckwith of Conway, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church, 3333 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Arkansas on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 6:30pm with Bro. Don Chandler and Bro. Darrell Spigner officiating. Family and friends are welcome.
