Kelly Renee Rains, age 48, of Proctor, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. Born on July 7, 1977, in West Memphis, she was the beloved daughter of Edward ''Bubba'' Rains and Janie Rains. Kelly was known for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and deep love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Rains.

She leaves behind her devoted fiancé, Kevin Bates; her loving parents, Bubba and Janie Rains; her sister, Wendy Rains, and Wendy's partner, Bobby Mathews; her cherished nieces, Caitlyn and Bethany Rains; and her treasured great-niece and nephew, Cali and Jaxtyn Reed, sister-in-law Erica Rains, and Uncle James Colford. She also embraced her stepchildren, Kevin Bates Jr. and Shekeva Bates, with warmth and love.

Kelly had a lifelong passion for horses and took great pride in showing them. She found peace in gardening, joy in cooking, and loved spending time by the ocean on beach vacations. She had a natural way with children and was a proud godmother to Audrey, Eliza, and Halle Harris. Her life was also blessed by the companionship of her dear friend, Paul Blasingame.

Kelly's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to those she held close. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know and love her.
