Dana Warren Junkin, 61, of Yellville, Arkansas, formerly from Riverside, Iowa and Raymore, Missouri, passed away on July 1, 2025.

Dana (Pops) was born on October 9, 1963 in Washington, Iowa to Jim and Jolaine Junkin. In 1969, the family moved to Kansas City, Missouri and eventually Raymore, Missouri where Dana attended Raymore-Peculiar schools. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served proudly for 4 years. Dana worked as an underwater welder, electrician, mechanic, bounty hunter and heavy equipment operator.

He battled multiple health problems for many years resulting from the time he was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He was a strong, disciplined individual who always believed in the Marine slogan: ''Improvise, Adapt and Overcome''.

Dana is survived by his loving wife, Mary Moet Junkin; his children, Tiara Meyer, Tyler Junkin (Chelsey) and stepson, Michael Bachtel (Jordan); grandchildren, Kynlie Florio, Kannen Florio, Ryder Busby and Rheagan Junkin; parents, Jim and Jolaine Junkin; brother, Shawn Junkin (Bridget); sister, Marni Herndon (Tod) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and Moet family members.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at the family home on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
