She leaves behind her beloved husband, Billy Ray, two daughters Dena Ammons (Rob), Tena Reynolds, a grandson Travis Ammons, a granddaughter Annie Reynolds, and a great-granddaughter, Nyla Rose Reynolds. She leaves behind two brothers, Gary Miller (Sue Ann), James Franklin Miller (Jonell) and two sisters Helen Mathes (Allan), Pat Freeman, and one brother-in-law Paul Joiner (Mary), and four sisters in law, Linda Joiner, Pat Joiner, Sandra Joiner, Barbara Kirkpatrick (Clifford) and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Gertrude Miller, father, Elvis Miller, a brother, Rocky Lynn Miller, and one brother-in-law, Oran Glenn Joiner, Jr. For the past 62 years if you saw Brenda, you saw Billy Ray right beside her.
Her love for God and her family ran through her. She was a homemaker and a Red Hat Lady. She loved a good horror movie- the scarier the better, and when they went to Florida, you could find her at a movie with Rachel mostly for the popcorn. But every day at 6:30 she could be caught turning that tv to Wheel of Fortune. In her free time when she was able, she loved ceramics and could sing anything if you asked her to and could be seen dancing all over the house. She loved fishing, the sunshine, Florida, and warm weather. Which makes sense considering she was the ray of light for our family and lit up any room she walked into. She had a spark of joy and regardless of the situation she could find the positive while always looking to God. Hopefully the angels know what a blessing they have.
Brenda asked in lieu of flowers for donations to the National Kidney Foundation in her name.
