Linda Sue Derby

of Little Rock, AR

October 11, 1953 - June 17, 2025

Linda Sue Derby, 71, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on June 17th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born in Bastrop, LA, the beloved daughter of the late Odell and Barbara Massey and cherished sister to siblings, Beverly Bridwell, Steven Massey, Connie Massey and Denise Hufford. They made their home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

A proud graduate of Pine Bluff High School, Class of 1971, Linda answered her country's call by joining the United States Air Force. Linda served with the same enduring spirit of dedication and resilience that carried her throughout her life, until her military career was cut short, when she was called for the second greatest service of motherhood and the joy of twin boys.

Linda continued to contribute to her country and community, by working at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during the Desert Storm era, eventually retiring from that position. She has held various customer service positions, banking and did some factory work, all while raising her family. She served as a dispatcher for a Little Rock security company, until her final retirement in recent years.

Linda met and married her beloved husband and friend, Charles ''Chuck'' Derby and resided in Little Rock until her passing.

As a proud and loving mother, Linda's family was the heartbeat of her life and her heart was filled with love and pride for her children, Scott, Sean, Kristopher and Amber. Her legacy of love and compassion extends beautifully through her grandchildren, Toni Michelle, Brittany, Jonathan, Jennifer, Emily, Ethan, Eizek, Kenzie, Jaxxon, Tristan, Tyler, Allie, Jade, Peyton and Bella; along with the joy of five great-grandchildren.

Linda's family will remember her as a pillar of strength, love and boundless generosity- a warm soul who always offered support, wisdom and the comfort of a heartfelt hug. Her kindness and tenacity will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love and memories she leaves behind will be cherished and remembered for generations to come.
