of Mountain Home, AR
November 7, 1930 - June 15, 2025
Betty Raye Baker, 94, widow of Coy Baker and mother to Rick Baker and Brenda McDonald, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Betty was born on November 7, 1930 to Arnold and Effie Little in Guy, Arkansas. She had 5 siblings, Louise, Bob, Billie Faye, Peggy and Shirley.
For the most part, Betty was a stay-at-home mom, where she took care of most all things on the home front. She and Coy married on February 10, 1956 and were married a few days short of 67 years at the time of his passing. Their earlier years of marriage, they made their home in Kennett, Missouri, where both Rick and Brenda graduated High School. Even when the Air Force would station him elsewhere in the United States, they would always return to their home in Kennett. In December, 1996, Coy and Betty moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where Coy enjoyed golf and Betty enjoyed shopping and yard work. They both always enjoyed spending time with the family. Coy and Betty were members of Mountain Home Church of Christ.
Survivors include son Rick (Rayanne) Baker of Jonesboro, AR, daughter Brenda (Perry) McDonald of Mountain Home, AR, three grandchildren, Haley (Stuart) Etheridge of Jonesboro, AR, Mallory McGarity of Brookland, AR, and Shane McDonald of Mountain Home, AR. Betty has five great-grandchildren, Jack Henry and Annamae Pettit, Max and Judd Samples, and Luke Etheridge.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Effie Little, brother Bob (Ellene) Little, sisters Louise (Claude) Williams, Billie Faye (LeVerl) Parish, Peggy (Winfred) Wilson, and Shirley (Wayne) Shelton.
Betty's family would like to thank everyone for the support you have shown through visits, cards, and phone calls during the past two years since the passing of Coy. They would like to send a special thanks to the Hospice House employees for all they have done in caring for both Coy and Betty. They feel like family.
