Johnny was an Army Helicopter Medic, a finish Carpenter, furniture maker and the eldest of four brothers. After experiencing radical life change through the Gospel of Jesus, Johnny devoted the last 23 years of his life to discipleship, starting and leading Celebrate Recovery Ministries and other Gospel centered ministries. God used Johnny to disciple and train others to take the lead in these ministries across the state of Arkansas. Johnny loved reading God's word and sharing what God revealed to him with others. He was committed to sharing the hope of Jesus with as many people as he could. Even in his last months, he found excitement being transferred to different hospitals. Johnny saw this as God paving the path for him to share Jesus with a new group of people. If you were ever in ministry with Johnny, or worked on a construction project with him, you knew that Johnny always wanted to do things well. He loved his wife, Gayle and the bonus family that God provided him. He proudly wore the name Papa!
