of Clinton, AR
December 6, 1947 - June 6, 2025
Galen Bramlett entered the gates of heaven on Friday, June 6th, 2025 at home surrounded by the family he treasured. He was born December 6th, 1947 in Marshall, Arkansas, son of Martin and Jo Bramlett and brother to Marilyn, Hershel, Marshall, Kenneth, Marlin and Morris.
Following graduation, Galen served his country as a soldier with the U.S. Army, doing tours in the Vietnam War. During his service he was awarded the Bronze Star and several medals, including the National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign and Service and Good Conduct. After an honorable discharge, Galen met the love of his life, Roxanne Collins and together they raised their family in Clinton and enjoyed 49 years of marriage.
Galen was a simple man who didn't always say a lot, but when he did, people would listen. He loved working on the farm and being with his family. That's what really mattered to him. Those who were closest to him knew him as Gabby or Jarvis and got to experience the silly side of him from time to time. He had nicknames for those he loved and had a smile that would light up his whole face. Galen's legacy is one of quiet strength, family and faith. His spirit lives on in the lives of his wife, daughters and all his grand babies.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth, Marlin and Hershel.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roxanne; daughters, Melissa Hester and her husband, Kevin, Angela Tainton and her husband, Cody; grandchildren, Alex Forrest and her husband, Blake, Colby Linn, Sydney Hester, Grace & Gabe Bradford and Sadie & Zoey Tainton and great grandchildren, Carson, Hallie and Harmony. He also leaves several nieces and nephews that he loved as well.
We would like to thank White River Home Health and Hospice Home Care for the support they provided to our family these last months, with a very special thanks to Geri, Anne Marie, Chaplain Michael and Janie. Words will never be enough for the compassion, love and support you showed to all of us during this time, especially to our daddy and husband.
