of Marion, AR
February 8, 1943 - June 3, 2025
Carole Halk Rash, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and lifelong educator peacefully passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving a husband, Gary Rash, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years. Carole's nurturing spirit extended into her family, two children; Ashley Rash Campbell (John) of Louisville, KY and Rob Rash (Kristie) of Marion, AR as well as three treasured grandchildren: Dr. Hayden Rash, Grayson Rash, and Jocelyn Campbell. Each of them carries forward the light of her unwavering devotion and joyful living.
Born on February 8, 1943, Carole devoted her life to nurturing not only her own family but also the hearts and minds of countless students in the Marion School District. A proud graduate of Memphis State University in 1965 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, she dedicated 40 years of her life to teaching; a calling that illuminated the lives of many young learners and inspired educators throughout her career.
Carole was a Christian and was baptized on January 8th, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Marion. She was later baptized in the Jordan River during a visit to the Holy Land. She will be remembered by her family, colleagues, and the many lives she touched as an educator and kind soul whose passion for teaching transcended classroom walls. Her legacy is one of compassion, service, and the belief in the power of education to transform lives. Although she is deeply missed, her spirit endures in every life she helped shape and every heart she warmed.
Carole's creativity and artistic spirit was often expressed spending endless hours creating handmade crafts, paintings, stained glass and interior design at numerous celebrations and venues of local art and community events. Many will recall how her intricate floral arrangements and festive decorations, each piece reflecting her attention detail, her green thumb as many flowers were her own home-grown roses, and her desire to make everyone feel welcome. These events were a testament to Carole's belief in art, community, and the power of coming together.
In honoring Carole's memory, her family asks you to please consider donations to the March of Dimes and invites those whose lives were touched by her kindness to reflect on the joy she shared and the lessons she imparted. Her commitment to her profession and her family serves as an everlasting reminder of the beauty found in a life well-lived. May she rest in peace.
