JoAnn Key, age 83, of Benton passed away peacefully at her residence on May 28, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1941 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Fred and Mozelle (Matthews) Clark.
JoAnn was a lifelong member of the Benton community and a faithful servant to her church. For over 40 years, she dedicated her time and heart to the First Baptist Church of Benton, where she taught Sunday School and sang joyfully in the choir. Her steadfast faith and love for others touched countless lives.
A devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, JoAnn's greatest joy was her family. She created a loving home filled with kindness, encouragement and unwavering support.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ernest Key; her daughter, Shannon Key; four grandchildren, Joshua Reile, Cherise Jackson, George Brooks and Rebecca Brooks and four great-grandchildren, Christopher Jackson, Cruz Jackson, Keira Jackson and Sailor Chronister. She also leaves behind one brother, Tony Clark, as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Martin.
Funeral services to honor JoAnn's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home Chapel in Benton with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Fox, George Brooks, William Jackson, Jack Foley, Rick Grant and Lee James.
Arrangements are entrusted to Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.
JoAnn will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those who knew her.
