Kenneth Thompson

of Conway, AR

December 23, 1952 - May 27, 2025

Kenneth Thompson, 72, of Conway gained his heavenly wings May 27, 2025. Born December 23, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Shelby Edward & Janice Pauline (Hawks) Thompson. He was the youngest of 4 children. At an early age he moved from Arkansas to California to Washington and then settled back in Arkansas.

He was a loyal hardworking man who worked for Diamond Construction for over 40 years. He was even more hardworking at telling jokes. If you had the pleasure of having a conversation with him, no matter how small, you were guaranteed to be a victim of one of his jokes and you never heard the same joke twice. He loved to bass fish regardless of if he wanted a quiet day on the lake to himself or if he took his kids and grandkids. He & his late son, Kevin, shared the passion of building and racing cars on local dirt tracks, with their favorite tracks being Plumerville & I-30 Speedways. He loved watching NASCAR and wrestling on TV and don't dare tell him wrestling was fake or you would get the dad mean mug. You can guarantee at 6:30 on weeknights his TV was always on Wheel of Fortune.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Ed & Janice; his infant brother, Jimmy Ray Thompson; brother, Charles ''Charlie'' Thompson; his sweet sister, Shirley Collier and his son, Kevin Edwin Thompson, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Clements) Thompson of Conway; daughter, Kim Williamson (Anthony) of Mayflower; daughter-in-law, Dawn Thompson of Maumelle; step-daughter, Jennifer Corriveau of Maumelle; step-sons, James Corriveau (Kylie) of Maumelle & John Battles of Mayflower; grandchildren, Jacob Brents (Bailey), Rebekah McBride, Dakota Brents (Addy), Daniel Thompson (Riley), Kevin Thompson, Jr, Elizabeth Thompson & Kiara Williamson; step-grandchildren, Meghan Myers, Melanie Myers, Katie Corriveau & Mason Hadley; great-grandchildren, Kevin Dallas Beckham Thompson, James McBride, Jr., Nathaniel McBride, Camden Brents, Chase Thompson & Stella Brents; along with many nieces & nephews and family members.
