On Tuesday afternoon, May 20, 2025, Norwyn Waters entered her heavenly home where she was greeted by her Lord and Savior and welcoming family and friends. It was truly a joyous homecoming.

Norwyn was born on July 29, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Lunda Savage and Opal Knapp Johnston. She was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas where she had a wonderful childhood and teenage years being active in her church and other community activities. She attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas as a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority where she met some of her lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ray Allen Waters, III. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Mary Catherine (James) Dixon, her daughter-in-law, Rachele Waters, three grandchildren, Cole (Sydney) Butler, Bailey (Ryan) Pfitzner and Hope Butler as well as six great grandchildren along with other extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.
