Marsha Lynn (Teague) Henderson
December 6, 1957 â€" May 14, 2025
Marsha Lynn (Teague) Henderson of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on May 14, 2025 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. She was 67 years old.
Marsha was born on December 6, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Robert (Bob) Doyle Teague, Sr. and Geneva Tyler Teague. She was a 1976 graduate of Mountain View High School. She married her husband, John D. Henderson on December 31, 1976 and they shared more than 48 years of marriage together.
Marsha worked in various roles throughout her life that reflected her attention to detail and her heart for service. She managed the bookkeeping department at the Bank of Mountain View and later worked at Woods Pharmacy and White River Insurance. She was also known to work in her friends' local businesses during busy times, whenever extra help was needed. Throughout their marriage, she was an important support to John's successful career in construction. She also helped to establish the Arkansas Children's Hospital's Kids First Clinic in Mountain View as their first office manager, a role that perfectly combined her organizational strengths with her care for children with health issues and their families.
Marsha also had a deep love for all things Disney. She traveled to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland many times over the years, and found great joy in helping other families plan their own magical Disney vacations. It was one of her favorite ways to share happiness and excitement with others.
She was also a devoted animal lover, especially of dachshunds. She and John shared their home with many dachshunds over the years and their beloved pups brought her comfort, laughter and companionship throughout her life.
Marsha was a Christian throughout her life. She was raised in the Southern Baptist tradition and later attended the Assembly of God and the First United Methodist churches in Mountain View. Her faith was lived not only in worship but in actionâ€"through service, kindness and humility. She was a past member of the Extension Homemakers Club, served on the board of the Stone County Single Parent Scholarship Fund and was an active member of the Stone County Democratic Women. In the early 2000s, she served on the committee that secured funding from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation to build a community center in Mountain View and although that project ultimately was not successful, she remained proud of her contributions and efforts to improve the lives of others in Stone County.
Marsha gave generously of her time, both as a mother and a community member. She volunteered with many local charities, participated in local festivals, was an active parent in area Scouting organizations, helped with her children's baseball and softball leagues, supported Mountain View High School's music, art and academic clubs and worked as a substitute teacher in the school district. Her presence and dedication were steady, encouraging and always gracious.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved first grandchild, Matthew Charles Henderson.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John D. Henderson of Mountain View; her three (3) children, John Tyler Henderson of Conway, AR; Larah Elizabeth (Henderson) Clark and her husband, Dan Clark of Bentonville, AR and Braxton McClain Henderson of Boston, MA; her four (4) grandchildren, Elizabeth Elaine (Laney) Henderson, Connell William Clark, Eleanor Aubrey Clark and Evelyn Raina Clark and her brother, Robert (Bobby) Doyle Teague, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR.
Marsha was known as a kind and caring soulâ€"friendly, genuine and reliable. Her love for her family, her many friends and her community was evident in the things she said and did. Her patient heart, sincere convictions and quiet strength left an impression on everyone she met.
