Hazel Mae McGuire Gibson was born in Higden, Arkansas, and died peacefully in her sleep, May 1, 2025, in the Rose City community of NLR, Arkansas, where she has lived for 55 years.

Hazel is the beloved daughter of the late Basil McGuire and Emilee Nelson McGuire. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Alan Gibson, Sr; siblings, Basil Sonny McGuire and Joyce Leveda McGuire Tarkington; daughter, Terry Ann Gibson Vandiver; and her loving parents, Basil McGuire and Emmalee Nelson McGuire Bellar.

She is survived by her loving son, Terry Alan Gibson II and wife Paula; sister, Diana McGuire McVay; grandchildren, Tommy Gibson, Nikki Vandiver, Kristin Allen-Ragsdale, Jerilyn Gibson-Watts, and Hayden Gibson; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Hazel was a devoted member of the Rose City Church of Christ beginning in 1971 and later continued at Cabot Church of Christ. Whether you knew her as Mrs. Hazel, Butch or Memaw, you knew there was a heart full of love for you, food in your belly, and Christ prayed over you.

Hazel's services will be held at Roller-Owens funeral Home on Saturday May 10, at 11:00 a.m.
