Omage Clyde Bolen

Omage Clyde Bolen, age 85 passed from this earthly life on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in the Punkin Flat Community of Searcy County, Arkansas on January 21st, 1940 to Clyde Omage Bolen and Wilma Harris Bolen.
Omage was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served our country in the United States Air Force for four years. His time of service was spent in Germany. Omage had a Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught Industrial Arts in the public school system for twelve years. A job he enjoyed very much. Omage's true calling in life was farming. He was a life-long cattle farmer. He loved being outside working the cattle and working on the farm. Omage never saw a child that he didn't love. Each child held a soft spot in Omage's heart. He never met a stranger. He loved to talk and visit with all he met. Omage was a Searcy County icon and his presence will be greatly missed by our community, his friends and his family.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gwenda Weaver Bolen of the home; one son, Mike Bolen of Marshall; two very special people that Omage thought of as his grandchildren, Ethan Rooney and Emma Rooney, both of Marshall; one brother, Afton Bolen and wife Judith of Harrison; two brothers-in-law, Ron Weaver and wife Linda of Rogers and Doug Weaver and wife Nancy of Witts Springs; and many nieces, nephews and extended family that Omage loved dearly.
Omage is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Wilma Bolen.
Funeral services for Omage will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Eddie Ragsdale officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery near Marshall. Friends and family will serve as bearers.
