Gary D Cavenorof West Memphis, AR

Gary was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where he spent his early years before earning a bachelor's degree. A man of Methodist faith, Gary was known for his generosity and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He shared a life filled with love and joy alongside his beloved wife of nearly 35 years, Brenda Cavenor, whom he married on June 8, 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cavenor; daughters, Kitty Cavenor Ledbetter (Barry) of Jonesboro, AR, and Terri Shirley (Garey) of West Memphis, AR and Daughter-in-law Amber Tackett.; brothers, Steve Cavenor (Chelsea) of Benton, AR, and Terry Cavenor of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Janet Gunnell (Scott) of Titusville, FL, and Marcia Carpenter (Wade) of Jonesboro, AR. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Anna Ledbetter Smith (Jonathan), Beth Ledbetter Scott (Landon), Tanner Ramsey, Tess Ramsey, and Piper Tackett, as well as his great-grandchildren, Lindley Kate Smith, Holland Smith, Barrett Smith, Margot Scott, and Leeland Scott.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Jane Cavenor; his first wife, Dana Johnston Cavenor; his daughter, Amy Cavenor Osment; his son, Josh Tackett; his grandson, Benjamin Thomas Ledbetter; and his sister, LaVetra Morgandale.
Gary found his greatest happiness in spending time with his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had a passion for Memphis Tigers basketball, playing golf, and enjoying the camaraderie of his golfing friends. Known for his kind spirit and warm smile, Gary leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a well-lived life. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
