Jeanie Frances Moore-Kyle, 71, of Conway, Arkansas, passed from this life on April 17, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1953, in Ventura, California, to William and Jeanie Moore.

Frances was preceded in death by her father William Dayton Moore, her mother Jeanie Hill Stewart Moore, her aunt Anne Milne Stewart, her uncle James Stewart, her aunt Janice Moore Thorne, and uncle and aunt Edward and Nona Moore.

Frances grew up in San Marino, California, where she attended San Marino Community Church and was a part of San Marino High School class of 1971, before graduating from California State University at Fullerton with a degree in history. She used her degree to research family genealogy and loved educating her family on their history going back many centuries. After moving to Arkansas, Frances was able to put her longest held hobby to work professionally, writing instructions and designing patterns for knit and crochet projects. Outside of work, she achieved a black belt over the course of many years training in Tae Kwon Do. After retiring, she continued to be active in the central Arkansas craft community, including as President of the Needlepoint Guild and with the Faulkner County Yarn-a-holics. She was also an active and beloved member of the Little Rock Science Fiction Society for over thirty years.

In her retirement, Frances also loved traveling, visiting England, Ireland, and Scotland, as well as Central America and the Caribbean and Iceland. For several years, she raised chickens in the backyard and delighted in providing her friends with fresh eggs. Following a lifetime as a dedicated reader, she studied for and received Master's degree in Fantasy Literature and Speculative Fiction from Signum University.

Left to cherish Frances's memory are her husband of over fifty years, Stuart Kyle, sons Willis and James Kyle, daughters Jeanie Kyle and Leia Mahaney, and sister and brother-in-law Laurie and Ken Lake. She is also survived by her aunt Nancy Stewart, aunt and uncle Ed and Linda Fatz, aunt and uncle John and Diane Fatz, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and cousins and beloved friends across the United States and several countries. She also leaves behind several cats at home who will miss sleeping on her all day and night.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to the wild cat sanctuary Turpentine Creek or the humanitarian aid nonprofit Heifer International. The family requests no flowers.
