of Harrison, AR
January 23, 1953 - February 27, 2025
Kathy Jo (Cantrell) Roten, age 72, was born on January 23, 1953, to Willis Baines Cantrell and Helen Jean (Sexton) Cantrell in Harrison, Arkansas. She passed away on February 27, 2025.
On September 3, 1970, Kathy married the love of her life, Paul Charles Roten. Through the years, they had many travel adventures, especially out west. They also enjoyed winters in Hawaii and Florida where she could be by the ocean with the sun on her face and the sand between her toes. Kathy also traveled on missions with Habitat for Humanity and internationally to Israel, China and Mexico.
Kathy had accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at a young age. She loved to write and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible and taking part in women's Bible studies. Kathy loved music, playing the piano and singing her favorite hymns and worship songs. She cherished her time worshipping with her church family at Grubb Springs Baptist Church. Kathy was dearly loved and touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, love and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by husband, Paul Charles Roten; sister, Judith Ann Jones (Jim); daughters, Georgina Ann Jordan (John) and Jayma Jo Roten; grandsons, Heston Paul Jordan (Ashlyn) and Zane Edward Jordan (Abagail) and great-grandchildren, Ava Kate Jordan, Johnathan Reid Jordan, Judah Paul Jordan and Adabell Jean Louise Jordan. Kathy found great joy in being a Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Although she will be greatly missed, we rejoice and find great comfort in the assurance that we will one day see her again in Heaven.
