Mildred Doris Hobson, age 94, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at her home in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was born Saturday, May 10, 1930 in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Franz and Johnnie Hope. Mildred was an avid cook and artist. She was musically inclined and enjoyed singing in the choir at the United Methodist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Scott Cruchfield of Dallas, Texas and Michael Cruchfield of North Little Rock, Arkansas; daughters, Carol M. Keck of Kansas City, Kansas, Hope Hooker of Mountain View, Arkansas and Gail Brantley also of Mountain View, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Christina Sutterfield, Philip Brantley, Jessica Backstrom, Ross Brantley, Jordan Cruchfield and Ian Cruchfield; four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and brother, Morris Hope of McPherson, Kansas.

Mildred is preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Cruchfield; parents, Franz and Johnnie Hope; previous husband, James Hobson; two sisters, Betty Hill and Lorraine Fielder.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cruchfield, Scott Cruchfield Mark Brantley, Philip Brantley and Jordan Cruchfield.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Brantley and Ian Cruchfield.

A funeral service for Mildred Hobson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Roller- Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Ken Elliot will officiate.
