Harvey Harold Searcy died comfortably, surrounded by family, in his bed on February 15, 2024.
Harvey was born in Greenfield Twp. Indiana on September 24, 1934 and was raised in Stoney Ridge, Ohio.
He married Dorothy Francis Pate on April 27, 1954 and they lived in Middleton Township, outside Perrysburg, Ohio.
Harvey worked for 33 years as a Millwright for LOF Glass In Rossford, Ohio. After retiring they moved to Mt. Vernon, Arkansas. Harvey and Dorothy were both active in Mt. Vernon, working with the Meals on Wheels program, helping to establish the Senior Center in Mt. Vernon and members of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Francis (Frank) and Mary Searcy; brothers, Everett Davis, Marvin, Paul and Howard Searcy and sister, Ruth Newman.
He is survived by his sons, Gary and Steven Searcy; 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. A visitation will be on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5-7pm and the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.
