Edgar Wayne HoltI am a Veteran.

of Conway, AR

November 4, 1940 - February 7, 2024

Edgar ''Wayne'' Holt, 83, passed away peacefully at Superior Health and Rehab, Conway, Arkansas on February 7, 2024. In life his vocation was working for the State of Arkansas in various capacities with the Department of Human Services, the School for the Deaf and the School for the Blind. His avocation, however, was his family. He came from a family of ten, eight of whom survived to adulthood. Over the years most every sibling benefitted from his help and kindness in one way or another. He truly loved his family. His other great love was music. Blessed with a beautiful voice and a good ear, his early background in singing came at home with the family and various school and church choirs. Throughout his adult life he sang at countless weddings and funerals for family and friends. One of his proudest moments in music was when, as a member of the prestigious University of Arkansas Schola Cantorum, he was privileged to sing for President Kennedy in the Rose Garden of the White House. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lee Holt Sr. and Minniford Francis Kitchel; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by one brother, Donald E. Holt of Fayetteville, Arkansas and two sisters, Mary E. Bailey of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Anna Lou Boudreaux of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

I believe that God is in me,
As the sun is in the rainbow,
The light in my darkness,
The voice in my silence.
Helen Keller
