Charles Louis Tacker, born June 14, 1946, in Memphis, TN, passed away on December 23, 2023, in Memphis, TN. He was 77 years old.
Charles was born to parents Nelson and Mattie Tacker. He grew up on a family farm in Black Oak, AR, and attended Marked Tree school. He then went on to college at Arkansas State University where he received his bachelor's degree in agriculture. On June 12, 1971, he married the love of his life, Carol Taylor. They were blessed with a beautiful baby girl 5 years later Amanda Jo Tacker.
Charles' career in farming continued for 30 years. He served on the Marked Tree school board for 12 years and spent time on the water board and in quorum court as well. He then went on to work as a crop insurance adjustor, and real estate agent, until he was called home. He loved and was proud of his family. His travels included two mission trips to Chile and Honduras.
Charles was a member of the West Memphis First Assembly of God Church. He had many hobbies, including spending time with family, watching sports, selling houses, and in his younger years he loved drag racing at George Rays.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving Charles is his wife, Carol; daughter, Amanda Jo Tacker-Hunt (Eugene Hunt); grandchildren, Zachary, Clayton, Cameron, and Tacker Hunt; brothers, Ronald Gene Tacker and Everett Tacker; many nieces and nephews, family and friends, and a loving real estate family.
Services for Charles Tacker will be held on January 2, 2024, at West Memphis First Assembly Church of God, West Memphis, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 12 PM followed by a funeral service at 1PM. The burial will take place at Tyronza Cemetery, Tyronza Arkansas.
