Beulah was the middle of 3 sisters; Peggy Choate and Linda Williams. Beulah grew up on the family's land in Manila, where she helped pick cotton and learned other valuable homemaking skills from her mother. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald, August 8, 1954, 69 years ago, after they graduated. Gearld and Beulah moved to McGehee in 1958, where she was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. After having their first child, Allen, in 1961, she began her role as homemaker. Her daughter, Ronda, was born in 1965.

In Jonesboro, Beulah and Gerald were founding members of the Downtown Church of Christ (Washington Ave, Church of Christ). She was devoted to her church family for many decades, teaching Sunday School, organizing Vacation Bible School, Potlucks, the Annual Gospel Singing, forming lifelong friendship and bringing many souls to Christ.

Beulah was an exceptional cook and loved to host family gatherings. She loved to sew, often hand making many garments for herself and her children. She was also very talented at making and painting ceramics, casting and firing her own pieces in her home. She was an avid bow hunter, even having her own deer stand at the family's cabin in Hardy. Beulah also loved to travel, not only the country, but also the world.
