Daniel F. FoleyI am a Veteran.

of Benton, AR

May 10, 1942 - November 14, 2023

Daniel Foley was a special husband, father and friend. He was born May 10th, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts and went to be with his Lord and his beloved wife, Mary, on Nov. 14th, 2023 and was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife.

He was blessed with two children who survive him in death; his son, Steven Foley and daughter, Cheryl (Foley) Horton. He was fortunate to then welcome another son into his family in 1990, when Joey Horton and Cheryl were married. He had two grandchildren, Nickolas Horton and Griffin Hopkins, along with two great granddaughters, Leila and Paizley Horton. Other family surviving him are his three brothers, Dennis Foley, Dave Foley and Donny Hensley, and one sister, Maureen. He also has some dear, special friends that he considered "family"...they know who they are...and he loved them dearly.

Danny left home as a young man and joined the US Air Force. While serving in 1960 he was stationed at LRAFB and met the love of his life, Mary Hensley. They were married on Aug. 6th, 1961 when his new life began. He and Mary went on to build a family of their own, loving and holding them close always.

He loved to have fun, but never minded to work hard, often in the service of others. He enjoyed fishing and working in his wood working shop. Whether he was building or fixing something, the time he spent in his shop was precious time to him. He was absolutely the definition of a 'handy man' and could fix or build just about anything. He also enjoyed his Saturday morning tee-times with his 'foursome'-the comradery more so than the game itself.

Danny was a doer, always wanting and willing to help others with anything that he could. He cherished his family and his friends that were like family. He had a quiet strength and determination about him, along with a huge heart and was always true to his word. He loved the Lord and was loved and adored by his family and friends. He was simply...a fine man, with no need for flash, credit or attention. What mattered to him most was his Faith and those closest to his heart...and that is how he lived.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 1PM with Bro. Brian Moore.
