Gary Ray Shoptaw, 74, of Malvern passed away on November 5, 2023 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Gary was born in Traskwood, Arkansas to Raymond Shoptaw and Virgie Mae Gatlin on May 19, 1949. He worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. Gary was a simple man who loved tinkering around the house and he loved black coffee.

Gary is survived by his wife, Doris Shoptaw, who he married on November 15, 1969. He is also survived by his daughter, Emily Tyler (David); sisters, Juanita (J.T) Davis and Gayla Shelnut; brother, Chuck Kyser (Jayme); grandchildren, Megan Tyler Shoptaw-Dunn, Jonathan Braiden Dunn, Savannah Tyler, Trey Tyler, Andrew Tyler and Dawson Tyler; great grandchildren, Rylee Mae-Anne, Bentley Matthew Alexander Dickerson and Ashtyn Tyler and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents; grandson, Johnathan Knox Louis Dunn and two sisters, Sharon Langley and Fonda Masters.

Funeral service will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home (6700 Alcoa Rd. Benton, AR., 72015) on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Visitation will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 6PM to 8PM.
