Barbara Ann Overstreet Pettet of Little Rock, AR passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Barbara was born in St. Joseph, MO on November 3, 1928. After graduating from St. Joseph Junior College, she enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper and homemaker. While in college she met the love of her life, Sherman Pettet, at the Frog Hop Dance Hall. After marrying in 1951, Sherman and Barbara moved to San Diego, CA, where he was stationed with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. She loved to travel with others, such as a trip to Spain with her daughter, Melinda and granddaughter, Christine. Most importantly, she was an incredible mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren believe that she helped mold them into who they are today.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Frances Overstreet; her husband of 70 years, Sherman Pettet and her brother, Jack Overstreet.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Faubel (Steve) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Christine Hogg (Joshua) of Fort Collins, CO, Wilson Faubel of Dallas, TX, Christian Faubel (Emily Claire) of New York City, NY; sister, Jean Shay of Austin, TX and nephews, Dennis Shay (Kathy) of Austin, TX and Jeff Shay (Ronnette) of Kyle, TX.
