He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Rosa Hunt and four siblings; Jo (Steele), John (Pat), Ava Nelle O'Bryan (Gordon) and Billy (Eva).

Surviving siblings are Vicky Foti, Charlene Yarbrough (Norris) and David (Beegee) with no shortage of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends.

Artie graduated from Pine Bluff High in 1954. He excelled in athletics and achieved many honors including First Team All State Football and Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. After college he became Professor of Accounting at LRU (now UALR) then business executive in Nashville, Birmingham and Little Rock, eventually starting his own family business, working there until retirement.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Artie's greatest lifelong passion was being an evangelical Christian, wearing many hats in his work for the lord, this included bible teaching (adults throughout the early years) and was ''Mr. Artie'' to his beloved fourth graders at Bible Church until his health declined.

Highpoints of his life from 2000-2010 were frequent mission trips to Myanmar (Burma) where he was instrumental in the development of Myanmar Bible Seminary and a water treatment plant. He established relationships with pastors and laypeople alike, providing encouragement and sound teaching.
